If you are an experienced teacher who wants to explore the field of curriculum, consider LaGrange College's Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction:
- Advance as a curriculum leader in just 14 months while still retaining classroom responsibilities.
- Develop the theoretical knowledge and practical strategies needed to participate in the curriculum change process.
- Discover how the relationship between policy and curriculum affects instructional planning, design and evaluation decisions.
Develop the tools to participate in the curriculum change process in just 14 months. Any certified teacher who holds a master's degree is eligible to enroll. Classes follow a 混合模型, with most class meetings conducted through a 同步 平台. Six on-campus seminar days are scheduled throughout the program (weekday during summer term and Saturday during 秋天 and 春天 terms). 的艾德.S. in Curriculum and Instruction is approved by the PSC for both initial field and in-field certification.
Seminar days for the 2024-25 cohort will be held on campus from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on the following days:
- Tuesday, June 4, 2024
- Saturday, August 24, 2024
- Saturday, November 16, 2024
- Saturday, February 21, 2025
- Saturday, April 12, 2025
New cohorts begin each June, with an application deadline of 5月15日.
入学 Requirements
The following requirements must be met for admission into the EdS program:
- Candidate must have graduated from an accredited institute of Higher Education
- Candidate must hold a current or renewable teaching certificate at a Level 5
- Candidate must complete admissions application
- Candidate must receive approval of Department Chair
- Candidate must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 if English is not the primary language
